When a person is looking to buy a property, it is common sense that the potential buyer to take a look at the property before they buy it.
They may choose to view it a few times, just to make sure that it is exactly what they want before taking ownership. They would look into every room of the property, looking for anything that they may like or dislike. Once they take ownership then the new owners set about putting their mark or stamp on the property.
The same can be said of our salvation.
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour, we give Him complete control our lives. When Jesus enters our lives, He wants to live and dwell in every area of our lives, as we learn to surrender to Him. So don’t close anything off to Him because you’re under new ownership.
The Bible tells us that we are new creations according to 2 Corinthians 5:17. Our desire moves from pleasing ourselves to being well pleasing to Him according to 2 Corinthians 5:9.
So let this be our prayer, “Lord as I submit to you today, spirit, soul and body, let my ways be pleasing to you.”
