God, Our Help in Time of Trouble

I am confident of this very Truth that in whatever situation you may be in right now, God is your very present help in time of trouble.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling, there is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge” – Psalm 46:1-7

One of the truths about life is that right now there are so many challenges and troubles everywhere and no matter how prayerful you are, you are not immune from these challenges.

What makes the difference is our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The relationship is oiled on the altar – Altar of prayer!

Prayer is a means of communicating to God and God responding to us.

Our prayer life gives us access to where secrets are revealed, where peace and joy are given in full, solutions for problems and answers to questions are made readily available. Prayer based in the Word of God, of course.

The good Lord sure knows how to take care of His own. After all, Jesus Himself said, in this world we will have tribulations ( many trials) but we should be of good cheer, He had overcome the world. – John 16:33

He did not promise that we will not face trials but because of who we are in Him we are guaranteed total victory on all sides as overcomers.

What a privilege to know God!

He is our Rock and will forever be The Rock to lean on. He is reliable, dependable, faithful and full of grace and mercy to those who trust in Him. It is very important to remind ourselves of this truth as we see the world increasingly going through so many turbulent challenges both politically, socially and economically.

Beloved, remember, no condition in life is permanent. Every adversity is subject to change if only you can trust God. No matter what you are going through right now see it as part of the process of your making.

Do you realise that since the beginning of this year, families everywhere are increasingly going through the process of ashes? But I have come to encourage you that by the word of The Lord – you shall have Beauty for Ashes, for God is our help in time of trouble.

Hold on! Help is on the way. “Self help is no help at all. Self sacrifice is the way, my way to saving yourself, your true self” Mark 8:35 – The Message.

When God helps you, it is complete! No man can take the glory but God alone. Of course we must appreciate the human factor but all glory must go back to God.

Take courage, look up! Help is on the way because the Hepler is with you – Our Emmanuel.
