Favour needs continuity in character practice for it to be what it is.
This simply means what you are in your bedroom is what you are in the public. What Joseph was behind Mr Potiphar’s back, was what he was in his presence. That’s what he was in prison and before Pharaoh.
Favour only comes to serve the righteous. If you are wicked and you are experiencing favour which you denied others (an act of kindness beyond your due), knowing you are not kind and that your character, morality or attitude are all questionable, someone in your family is your conduit for favour and you need to repent before it’s too late. Remember mixed multitude followed Israel out of Egypt. They too were protected and fed till they manifested their true nature!
Someone paid the price for you to be favoured with God! His name is Jesus! He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Let your character be the same at home and outside.
What I am writing is what I found to be key to God’s favour on my life as He revealed to me — “Continue to be who I say you are and do what I sent you to do.”
Many will try to paint another picture of you and I which does not matter, as long as those who have been in our lives long enough could bear witness of our testimonies and the Lord Himself approve of us – that’s what counts the most. “That I may please Him!” 2 Corinthians 5:9-10.
So check your confession of ‘am blessed and highly favoured’ and add to it continued practice of lifestyle of integrity.
