I strongly believe that this is your year to experience the power of restoration. You only need to believe and act according to the Word. When we talk about restoration, it simply means that there is a place in Christ’s purpose that you belong, you are not there yet but you must get there. There is an inheritance to possess but you walked away from spiritual reality. God is going to restore this to you, so you can live a life without shame or reproach. You will be restored to that place of peace and joy again. The conditions to restoration are not difficult if you adhere to the process.

Repentance Before Restoration

Before the nation of Israel was restored they were called to repentance. Restoration comes when we have a change of heart and a right attitude toward God. Joel 2:12-13 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.” Ladies and gentlemen, ‘repentance’ is not a popular word nowadays, however, if you want to experience restoration, you must first realise you have missed it! You need to face up to the fact that things are not what they used to be and admit you need God’s help to turn back from your habits.

A life that is filled with confusion and chaos is a shame to the Kingdom. How can we claim to be followers of Jesus Christ but His characteristics are not evident in our lives?

As God’s Redemptive people, we have a right to peace.

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.” (Ephesians 2:14). The Kingdom of God is of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost according to Romans 14:17.

Worship

Worship Jesus Christ unashamedly this year. Mark 8:38 Jesus said “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with His Holy angels.”

Do not let anything rob you of your heart of worship.

Proverbs 4:23 “Guide your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” (New Living Translation) “Keep vigilant watch over your heart that’s where life starts.” (Message Version) “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (New International Version).

If you worship God through Jesus Christ in the Spirit and from your heart, life will be meaningful to you. Worshipers never lack! If you put God first, He will put you first.

Lifestyle of Commitment

Make a fresh commitment now, to follow and serve Jesus. Numbers 14:24 “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.”

Someone once said “don’t expect full time blessings from God when you give Him a part time service!”

Let 2014 be the year that you have a record of a full time service with God. May this year be our year of full restoration in all areas of our lives in Jesus.
