A Love That Lasts

Whenever I’m shopping for a high-priced product I always ask myself: ‘Will this last?’ / ‘Is it worth x amount of pounds?’ / ‘Am I going to regret buying this?’ / ‘Will I need to spend a ton of money getting the product repaired?’

That’s a lot of questions!

Longevity is important in all spheres of life not just my shopping dilemmas. I remember writing in the previous article about some Hollywood marriages that are all shinning and glossy today but it lacks substance and never quite lasts as long as we think it should.

Nowadays everybody is looking for a love that will last a lifetime and it will be the same for 2015. Many have their thoughts, ideas and philosophies on the subject of love. Personally I love God’s blueprint on love – it’s not a short term fix its everlasting.

God has signed the contract of love and nothing can separate you from His eternal love. God won’t bail on you when things seem tough. How about that! What a wonderful God we serve.

Ever since I became a Christian I have never heard God telling me He wanted a divorce or that He was tired of hearing me. As my Pastor says God never tells her “keep quiet, you talk too much.” God wants to hear, He wants a relationship with His beloved people – that’s you and me.

The bible is a book of love from the fall of man in Genesis to Revelation, God had a plan. He loved us so much that He wanted to restore us back onto Himself.

Although Adam and Eve sinned God still took care of them. The LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them (?Genesis? ?3?:?21?)?????.

God also reassures us of His love and care, “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” ?Matthew? ?6?:?30????

God will never give up on us and that’s a fact! Just like Jacob working for his love, God keeps on going after us even when we feel as though we don’t deserve His love. “So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed only a few days to him because of the love he had for her.”? Genesis? ?29?:?20?.

God loves us more than anything. He knows the numbers of hairs on your head.

My prayer for you this year is that you love God with every fibre of your being because His love will never run out on you. Amen!??????
